Gone, but back again
Sorry for the recent several day outage of MeCCG.net. We had fallen victim to a bug in my domain registrar's system and as a result the name meccg.net was no longer connected to the website. (The domain registrar's function is to do just the opposite: connect name to site, for as long as one pays fo...

Alas, you're a good way off the mark. R2 = twice on a rare sheet of 121 cards (56x2 = 112 spots) R1 = once on a rare sheet of 121 cards (the remaining 9 spots) So, assuming a perfect spread, your 72 rares in a box will be 72 out of the 121 spots on the sheet. That's on average 66.6 R2 cards and 5.4 ...

Re: Looking for quite a few cards, but how would I do this b
(Gwaihir will recognize this is an almost direct copy/paste from the email :P): 1.) Get *all* fixed packs, at least two copies each [..] Well, Gwaihir suggested getting one of those complete sets, one of each rare, etc things. Granted, that would get me at least one of every card and definitely sol...

Slightly sillyer. After the Stormcrow binder was sold out and thus a success, three binders were made, the two still available and a 2nd run of Stormcrow binders (slightly different from the first). (Back)orders for Stormcrow have been filled with this new series, but due to poor marketing of the tw...

As you already calculated, making preconstructed decks by buying all cards as singles is quite an attack on your wallet. Generally the concept of collecting is to get packs with random cards, trade if you can, and only fill out blanks in your decks or collection through buying singles. Sources for y...

I wouldn't label the French MELE set a "factory set". It is a fixed format, like the Balrog (English) and MEAS in German. Note that a "factory set" is not strictly a set, but each cut print sheet x1. For this reason they are at times refered to as "factory bricks" instead. For example for Dragons it...

That has to do with e-mailing (not redirecting). Some PMs and forum posts cause e-mails to be send to people who have subscribed to such. Apparently that doesn't always work well.. I hope Josh (our server admin) has some clues about why. Unfortunately (for Josh's troubleshooting) this seems to be ha...

My first impression is that some people are just hasty these days ;). Chris has always been there and still is. He can just be busy at times with other parts of his life. Isn't that what we want most for a trade center: a steady, dependable guy who has his priorities straight? Isn't it a bit rash to...

Alatar says that your opponent is forced to draw 1 less card than he wants to. You cannot know what I want.. IMHO it's one less card, period. So this part doesn't work: I never thought about that, but I guess that your opponent could also declare that he wants to draw 1 only card, and thus draw 0 b...

Eh.. with what edge (grey / black) and symbol (A-black-on-white, A-white-on-black, other). The main deck isn't supposed to have any at all AFAIK, so I assume they are both marked as from a Saruman deck's sideboard? In that case I suppose some other poor buyer will have a sideboard with those two mis...

Right, I think that belongs at the local level. It's little good for your event to have recreated decks available several countries away from you. Distance is the biggest issue right now; there are still starters left in the world, but as the number of sellers is down to a handful the average cost a...
