"place this card with the character."
It says, 'Playable on an untapped character at a Free-hold'.

If both character and site are presupposed to be untapped, why does it only specify the character must be untapped? Why need it specify it at all?

Yes, but Concealment does not read 'Scout only. An attack is cancelled, tap the scout.' It reads 'Scout only. Tap scout to cancel an attack against his company.' Therefore, I could play concealment, choose not to tap a scout, and the card will do nothing. This card is stating the tapping as a trigge...

Tapping the character and the site are -- and I must emphasize this -- in my opinion effects of the card, not active conditions for either its play or any of its effects. I agree with this. Wacho is presupposing that both the character and the site must be untapped. However, the bold-italics text s...

To Satisfy My Question

Is To Satisfy the Questioner only playable at an untapped Free Hold? The card states'Playable on an untapped character at a free hold'. Then, it later says, 'tap the character and the site'. It does not, however, explicitly state that the Free Hold must be initially untapped. Mod note: Removed link ...

How about:

All influence checks are modified by subtracting the number of characters in the influencing character's company.  May not be duplicated. A Diplomat in the character's company may tap to cancel and discard this card.

Nazgul slaying

Do you get MPs for killing ringwraiths that you played? I know it doesn't work with dragons, but I was thinking of making a nazgul hunting deck.

WoW, Meccg style

Inspired by WoW's Onyxia's Lair raid deck, I designed a solitaire dungeon-bash MECCG scenario. Middle-earth:The Raids Game Playable with all MECCG cards. Setup Place your Company face up and untapped on the table. Arrange the Hazard deck as described in the scenario you are playing. Company Construc...

Imagine Aragorn II with furry hair all over his body and sharp teeth shining in his mouth  Very Happy whoops, heh heh  As for Shelob, perhaps I should post this card in the set. Sate her Hunger MP:1 Minion Permanent-Event Unique. Playable if you are Shelob the Great and she is revealed. P...

Middle Earth:The Beast Lords:Rules & Avatars

This is an idea I had that allows you to play as one of the 4 beast lords of Middle-earth(Treebeard, Gwaihir, Smaug, and Shelob). The rules need a bit of work in my opinion, so it would help if I could get more opinions on this. Deck Constuction rules for Beastlords •Treebeard the Ancient and Gwaihi...

Region Movement

When using region movement, do the two Sites only need to be 1-4 regions apart, or do you need Site cards for the in between regions?
