Can I play hazard keyed to region when there is no movement?
Scenario: my opponent travels to the site of Moria (region: Redhorn Gate) but is unable to enter the site and face the automatic attack since all his characters are tapped (and hence can't play an item), so he decides to enter the site on his next turn. On his next turn, he still has a movemen...

Quickbeam ... meaning of "may not be attacked"?
A quick question about the ally Quickbeam. His card says: " Unique. Playable at Wellinghall. May not be attacked by automatic-attacks or hazards keyed to his site. " What exactly is meant by the last sentence? Surely it can't mean that his company is now immune to automatic attacks and s...

Rescue Prisoners
Lately, I had the following situation come up. Alatar, Elrond, Elladan, Erkenbrand and Orophin were en route to Mount Gundabad from Rivendell in order to pick up the Sword of Gondolin and Rescue Prisoners. On the way they were attacked by Ghosts (3 strikes). Alatar, Elrond, and Elladan all tapped t...

Also, keep in mind that, after your wizard has been brought into play, you can only play new characters under GI if they are at the wizard's site. If you want to bring them in elsewhere, you need enough DI available to do so (e.g. bringing in Elrohir under Elrond). Thanks for the replies. Thanks al...

Using wizard's influence to introduce new characters?
Scenario: All 20 of my GI is used for characters (total of 20 mind). Radagast enters the game at Rivendell. On the next turn, I want to introduce the character Brand, who has a mind of 6. Must he be a follower of Radagast (who has a DI of 10)? Or does the introduction of a wizard just add 10 to my G...

Does "Flatter a Foe" tap the character?
When playing "Flatter a Foe", must the character making the flattery attempt be untapped, and does his flattery attempt subsequently "tap" him? I suppose a similar question could be asked about "Vanishment" - which is a spell playable by a wizard to cancel an attack. The card doesn't say that the Wi...

Using items from a discarded character?
Scenario: Beorn and Legolas face two strikes. Legolas, carrying Orcrist, faces the first strike and is wounded and eliminated. The rules state that when a character is eliminated in combat, his items "immediately" go to another character. So does this mean that Beorn can use Orcrist to get a +3 modi...

Second automatic attacks at Underdeeps
That makes sense. I just discovered that the UnderDeep sites have a special rule that allows an opponent to create a second auto-attack with a hazard creature. So the rule I quoted above ("Creatures as Automatic-Attacks") is just speaking about creatures as automatic attacks, not creatures played on...

Missing CoTD for Challenge Decks
I'm looking for the Card of the Day which deals with the Stewards of Gondor Challenge Deck A. The CoTD archive appears to be missing some of the CoTD items. For instance, the following cards are listed at: http://fan.theonering.net/~morgulrats/cotd.html 764 Release the Prisoners Challenge Deck 765 S...

In the rules for Dark Minions (page 6), under the heading "Creatures as Automatic-Attacks" it says the following: Any hazard creature you play as an automatic-attack is discarded if defeated - it is not placed in your opponent's marshalling point pile. Does that mean the explanation in the previous ...
