Luck vs Strategy?
One of the things some CCGs have been criticized for is that players with money to build decks of super-cards are at a distinct advantage. In other words: he who has the most money wins, because he can buy the best cards. Not totally true (because players also need to play their cards well), but you...

A better way to learn would be to browse through the forums here and (even better) sign onto GCCG sometime to play some tutorial games. It's free and a lot of fun -- and, what's more, it puts you in touch with a worldwide community of MECCG players. Thanks for the replies so far! What exactly is me...

How does GCCG compare to NetMECCG? I especially find GCCG somewhat awkward to learn, because it is completely rule-blind and the players have to instruct it to do everything! Is NetMECCG easier to use in this respect? I realize that the graphics of GCCG are hard to beat, but I'm thinking more about ...

I am very pleased that there is an online community playing the game with this software! However, as a new player, I have found that learning t...

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is the book "Wizard's Companion" about? Rules? Strategy? Decks? Don't forget I'm new to the game, so I may need considerable help in mastering the rules, and that is one reason I was considering this book. (Note also that I'm planning on starting with the Challen...

Books: Wizard's Companion
Can anyone tell me some more about the book "Wizard's Companion"? It's by C. Charlton (ed) et al (104 pages), and apparently gives the rules, and cards lists. Anyone have any more information on this book? Is it worth getting? I'm planning on getting the Challenge Decks to learn the game, and am won...
