I live about 50 km away from the austrian border... Indeed never saw any Kangaroos.

By the way: A Happy New Year to all of you.

And dear Austrian players: Time has come for the big Cordoba revenge !! ;)

I think it would last too long until every participant has send his Euro/Dollar. And who has to send the prices? By mail? Isnt this to much expense? To me having fun is the most important thing.

The "dices" are surely programmed to roll randomly. That means every number (1-6) hast the possibilitiy of 16,7 %. The expectation of each roll is 3,5. So if you roll with two dices its 7. The science of statistics says, the more often you roll the nearer the average of all rolls goes to the expacta...

What kind of format would you suggest, Wolfgang?

I`d found it best if 12 teams built 4 groups. Top teams to semi-finals. That would make 5 games for the finalists. But therefor 4 teams are still missing. The format whe suggested for 8 teams is just like in most team sports. No special reason.

Martin Teofanovic (team founder) (Old Tuk, Feanor) Stefan Fankel (Sfan, Sfan) Markus Richartz (team captain) (Sauron_the_Great, sauron1976) my nickname on GCCG is Peregrin. You confuse me with my friend Feanor (Stefan; played at German Nats, too). So 8 teams are complete. I`m very sorry for those w...

You`re right so lets do it that way. TP count more than wins, if everybody is fine with that.

Each player plays one game per round. by the way I think when it comes to the next round the two best players should play against each other. In official tournament roules, wins count more than TP, isnt it? My understanding in this issue comes from soccer where wins are valuated higher than goals. G...

Ok, as we saw, there is a high demand on this tourny and we have to come to a solution how many teams shall play. This is what came out in the GCCG chat: Playing group phase would take to long. So the only way to deal with that is to play with 4, 8, or 16 teams. Now 5 teams are semi-official registr...

Only tap Khamul, if youre sure that your opponent has to discard ALL of his cards. Otherwise you might even help him by speeding up his deck. In most games i played this strategy i made my opponent only ONE time to discard his hand. The rest of the game he could easily do whatever he wanted to. Noti...

We will probably put together a "Team Cosmopolitan" of players from countries which cannot field a team on their own.  Kris, Marcos, and you could be a team, for instance. Thats what i thougt, too. Perhaps at least the team captain should have the nationality of the country they start for. To ...

i would really like to participate, but first i need some practice at CGGC (which means i need more time ;-). i am sure beornd wants to play too, and maybe we can convince another austrian player (@beornd: what about thomas?) i think beornd really likes to read that!  practice time would be no...
