I guess we should then start "nerfing" all those cheezy FW decks next. Where does it stop? FW next? One Ring? How about a house rule no One Ring, because it gives 7-0 victory and infinity MPs? <Playing Devil's Advocate> Why would anyone do that, besides the fact he does not like to play against tho...

Why would you say it's futile? If a good number of local and even national tournaments end up using this rule, how is that futile. It seems to me that that would be a big step. As for 'official' errata status, we have plenty of time to wait on thinking about that. I think that the 'house rule' opti...

I agree the difference between the official ICE errata that already exist and a new one issued by the CoE is a hazy difference. My point might be: "Who are we to decide what is a 'good' erratum and what not?" This would of course result in the immediate reply: "Hey, it looks like ICE didn't know th...

It's no surprise that the CoE would be very sceptical with issueing errata - nothing would turn down new players, but especially returning players, more than showing up at a tournament only to find out their idea doesn't work because some errata. Well that is no argument for not issuing this erratu...

Has there been any testing with this fix? If so how much? It does look like a well thought through fix to balance the game. How does the CoE work? It seems to me that it has the possibility to make such an amendment in the 'official?' errata? If this fix has been tested thoroughlly and found working...

Of course this is pure speculation, but I think he meant 'saving one turn, by not having to use one turn to pick up his wizard on the long way to Mt.Doom'

What program can you unzip that .tgz file for the windows installer with? I can't seem to find one that works :(. MRA My WinRAR is able to open .tgz files. I needs some persuasion, since it doesn't recognize the extension. I right-clicked on the file and selected 'open with...' and then selected Wi...

Organizing Companies

The CRF states under Organizing Companies Company composition changes that you choose to make, including bringing a character into play, must all be done at the same time during the organization phase. During this time no other actions may be taken. Would it be possible, while the wizard is in play ...

'Thrall of the Voice' states in it's text that it allows an agent character of 6 mind to be played with your FW company. I really can't see what interpretation of this would require 'Open to the Summons'.

I think you just got yourself a free spot to put a useful minor item in :)

The Regiment of Black Crows is another thing which will invariably make an appearance if your opponent is a minion. Do ahunts circumvent the back to the hand ability of this ally? I would say yes. The attack is considered a creature attack, so it would be cancelled, but the creature has no card to ...

Re: Itangast Ahunt creates an attack to?

If the attack ... is ... keyed to ...Northern Rhovanion :w: ... 'Elven Cloak' could be tapped to cancel a strike from the attack against the bearer. is not true since: Attacks or strikes keyed by name to a region or site cannot be cancelled by effects which refer only to the type of the region or s...

Re: Itangast Ahunt creates an attack to?

So my question here would be: 'are ahunt attack considered keyed to the regions that trigger it?' Right! found it: Attacks created by events are not keyed to anything unless specifically stated as being keyed to something on the card. I don't know how I missed that last night, but found it now. I p...

Itangast Ahunt creates an attack to?

Last night I played Tharkûn in a sealed-deck game, and near the end (about 1am for me) Gandalf & company found themselves fleeing Smaug's lair. Unfortunately for them Itangast was ahunt. G wondered wether Peath would be able to hide under her elven cloak. If the attack created by the long event 'Ita...

saying hi...

Hello, it's been a long while since I played ME:CCG, but I stumbled upon gccg which intrigued me.

I must say playing a couple of 'sealed-deck' games on GCCG is drawing me back towards ME:CCG.

Anyway, I am Maarten and I live in the Netherlands.
