It doesn't cancel the ruins & lairs or the auto-attacks, which means that you can do a great deal of ally playing.  It leaves all the things playable, so with just a little Double-Dealing, you can untap the Minion Site with Look More Closely later, letting you come back to the Wizardhaven for ...

Even if it's possible, remember that 'protected' does nothing by itself. It doesn't remove the auto attack, doesn't stop the site from being :R:, and doesn't automatically cancel attacks. So I guess it's no big deal. IIRC Saruman's Machinery only requires 'protected foo' and no wizhaven, so that wou...

Nicolai's address is from his previous employer. I have a gmail address though:

I'm pretty sure that one should work!  :D

Only items can be stored per the rules.

If resource events can be stored, it will always say so on the card itself. If the card mentions nothing about storing, you have to carry it around all game. This is the case for Map to Mithril

Both Mark's nats deck of this year and the Red Hills deck are vulnerable to a turn 1 Chilled Elf-lord, IMHO. (Mark?)

After turn 1, it's a different story.

My initial reaction is this might make them a bit too weak. I'd be more interested in seeing the 'untapped warrior' bit removed so the inclusion of any one 5 prowess guy (and even Saruman) is sufficient to avoid being sent back.

As it is, I'm afraid I'm voting no.

Has anyone ever found it curious that for over half a year the moment that the most users ever were on line (it's at the bottom of the index page) was on december the 24th? Shouldn't we have something better to do on Christmas Eve?  :P   And shouldn't I have something better to do ri...

Indeed, not much to add to it.  :)

Strangely I just wondered what the implications of this card are on on-guards and resources. Since you're only allowed to reveal hazards, can you still put resources (or characters) on-guard? Or are on-guards not considered played?

Bandobras, you are right. I just built a Sorryman deck that doesn't use half-orcs (no Rohan guys either, btw: it goes for Ettenmoors), and it seems to work pretty well. In this deck A Strident Spawn isn't used at all except for getting out tWH, same goes of course for Sorryman's Machinery. Even if t...

Isn't there some similarity with the CRF entry that 'does not tap the site' is not the same as 'playable at a tapped site'?

In a Doors of Night hero tournament (DoN always in play) we had last year 3 of the 8 or 10 decks were Galadriel squatter decks, since you can freely use Clouds, Snowstorm, Will of Sauron etc then without being hurt by it yourself. Don't forget to mention you were one of those 3.    ...

I see no problem with that, because the first WL turns the :b: into :w::w:, then the second WL can turn one of these :w: into :w::w:, thus ending up with :w::w::w:.

So, bring on those drakes!  :)

I feel that is different, because An Untimely Brood specifically allows the playing of an ally, regardless of whether or not that ally could normally be played there. The point is that Catch an Elusive sent calls for an item 'normally' playable at the site. By the same reasoning that the trick works...
