I'm pretty interested because I have a Fallen-saruman deck right now which is using this trick and could use a High Helm (in addition to Sapling), so I hope Chad will rule on this one.

I assume however that the item still has to be of the same alignment as the site?

Sure you can, why not?

As long as the playability conditions are met (in case of corruption, this means a character) the card can be played.

The only thing that you are safe from at a haven are hazard creatures, but anything else is fair game.

Yes, the challenge deck box contains five hero and five minion decks. So if you add sets to this mix that only contain hero resources the hero decks could get an advantage. Perhaps you could compensate this by giving the really powerful hazards to the minion decks.

First of all, I think you mean Cave-worm, and Moria is a :S:, but that's nitpicking...   Anyway, your guess is right. When a company doesn't move, you can only play hazard creatures keyed to the site. A creature that is only playable keyed to the region that site is in is not playable thi...

Uhh, I don't think so. I'd say "his site" refers to the site he's at or moving to.

I'd say those challenge decks are a better way to start, because a complete wizards set will only give you 1 Dark Quarrels, 1 Concealment etc. while the Challenge decks provide you with a lot of cards you need to build decks. If you're interest is just in playing the game, there isn't really a need ...

The card text on the Dutch council site reads: The prowess of one Dragon attack is modified by +2 or one Dragon hazard creature may be played at a Ruins & Lairs [:R:] that has two Wildernesses [:w:] in its site path (only one Wilderness [:w:] is required if Doors of Night is in play). Unfortunately,...

A few fun notes: Await the Onset can also work in Eriador (Bag End/Blue Mountain Dwarf Hold) and Dragon Country (Thranduil's Halls/Iron Hill Dwarf Hold) and the Anduin Vales (Beorn's House/Eagle's Eyrie). Indeed, especially the first combination is featured in a deck by Nigel Buckle (listed on the ...

Still, it's nothing compared to making an entire UEP identical to an existing UEP which was, at that moment, some 8 topics below it in the list...  :)

I see, I thought you meant to squat at Bag End and play the Book, KABNtH and News over a period of turns.

polls

I just made the topic about the FW big stage cards and wanted to make a poll of it asking which one people like best. Now maybe I'm a total moron (likely, giving my earlier mistake in the last 24 hours of opening an UEP that had already been accepted) but I can't seem to find the possibility to make...

No, it isn't. If you are a Fallen Wizard there are two cards that let you have agents from Dark Minions in your starting company: 1) Open to the Summons (replacing a minor item) for agents with 5 or less mind; 2) Thrall of the Voice for agents with 6 or less mind. For each agent in your starting com...

The 'Big' FW cards

Each of the Fallen-wizards has a big, end of game card requiring 12 stage points and some other conditions, and then giving a substantial amount of MP as well as some other ability, which is normally not too useful as these cards tend to get played in the last turn. Typically they are put in the sid...
