Many Foes He Fought
Short-Event

If defender chooses a warrior to be the target of a strike from an attack, that character may choose to face any number of the strikes from that attack.  The character suffers a cumulative -1 prowess/-1 body for each additional strike faced.  The character faces a separate strike sequence for each strike.

If a character taps to face the first strike, and then faces a second strike, will the character suffer a -1 modification to prowess for being tapped on the second strike in addition to the -1 prowess/-1 body that Many Foes He Fought gives?

Strictly speaking: character does not tap to strike. Untapped character may choose to tap or do not tap against strike.
This means that (in both cases) untapped character facing strike remains untapped until strike resolve*. He is tapped or wounded afterwards.
If character faces next strike as result of Many Foes He Fought he must add/substract any modifier to its prowess (e.g. -1 if tapped, -2 if wounded, -3 for not tapping against strike, modifiers for cards played in strike sequence) as usual in addition to the modifiers listed in Many Foes He Fought text.

*) However some cards played in strike sequence (before dice-roll) may tap or wound him.
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
