Someone told me they can.
The wife and I should be getting our box of challenge decks in the mail tomorrow :)

Indeed they can be play against each other...that's what they were designed for...

Of course, some may do better against a given deck than others do. For example, a heavy undead hazard deck (such as Hoarmurath's) will have more effect on a Mordor squatter strategy (such as the Witchking's) than a heavy-wilderness hazard deck (such as Adunaphels)...

So it depends (in my oppinion) very much who plays against whom...

Hope, this helps!

Thats interesting.
I never really played enough to start understanding 'strategy' like i have with Magic.
Just reading a few posts here Ive started to grasp it a bit better.

Im thinking for my first deck, Im going to use the 'ahunt' cards to cover a large area, then try to use only sites that arent in those regions that are covered.

Does anyone know if 'doors of night' is only in the basic set (Unlimited?) ?

Doors of Night is a fixed card from the first (main) set, so you can get it in any starter decks that you get.  I believe it was also a common and appeared in boosters like that, but I'm not positive.

Doors of Night is also found in The Lidless Eye set and I believe it is one of the reprinted cards in the Balrog set as well, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

My g-f and me played the Pallando dwarf deck vs the Adunaphel/drakes one, and that was a bloodbath!

Pallando's deck ended with 11 companions in the dead pile (!)
