Middle-earth CCG Trading Sites

Post by Ancalagon the Black » Sat Apr 10, 2004 4:46 pm

Howdy folks,

I was just wondering which trading web sites people use -- I have two that I use myself, but I'm always looking for new ones and figured that it would help other people too if we had a list in this thread.

Chris Cable's MECCG site -- http://www.feinus.com/ccg
Mahasamatman's Middle Earth Trading site -- http://trade.mahasamatman.com/MEWizards/

Anyone else have any favourites? :)

Greetings,

I only use Chris Cable's Page concerning Middle-earth trades although I have to say that I manage my list of Needs and Trades myself and Chris just linked my list with his page. That's why I can update my list as often as I wish without waiting for Chris' update. For that reason I do not need Admiral Mahasamatman's Trading Page although it is very useful for traders who wish to update their list each few days.

I heard about "Trading Cards Online" but was not in the mood to register for another page ;)

The advantage of Chris Cable's Page is that you can list cards in all 8 languages + promos cards which seems to be not that easy on the Mahasamatman Page...

Hi,
Here is an other trading post I use : tradecardsonline.com . A spanish post, in which we can also list our cards in most languages. Look for METW CCG in "Old Games" ;-)
Cheers,
Sulrandir.

Trading Pages

Hello folks,

I can recommend the spanish trading forum! :D

http://miarroba.com/foros/ver.php?id=63495

I needed less than three days to complete my second set of the Cartas del set especial de iniciacion once I posted my trading list. It is not that easy to register if you do not speak spanish but finally I was successful with using the "trial and error" method...

I am really impressed how many spanish traders and collectors are using that page. Spain has a great and very kind community of traders! :frodo:

My first post!

Post by milka » Fri May 07, 2004 9:01 am

Hello

Here is my first post on this site. So, hello all.

Well.

I use Mahasamatman and TradeCardsOnline as trading sites

3 years ago, I was on Chris's site, but as I can't manage my list easily, I don't maintain my list after 2 years of using.

After Chris's site, I use mahasamatman, specially because many games exists on the site (actually, I collect 3 games). But in fatc, ME part have not possibility to manage different languages.

Then, since 1,5 year, I use TradeCardsOnline, which is (on my mind) the best trading site, even if there's not a lot of games, like mahasamatman.

TradeCardsOnline allow to add cards with specifying language, and a short comment (i.e. like "Dutch promo with AI").

Then, with these site, it's possible to receive a mail to indicate you the new trading possibilities. There's a forum, an internal mail management (avoiding spam) and a protect trading mecanism! Yes, they allow to send cards throw them to be sure to receive the cards or get back yours...

The simplest way to know what is possible is to see an exemple.
Take a look at my trading page and you understand :

Finally, I would be interested in the spanish and italian forums, but as I speak only french or english, it's not easy ;-)

ME Trading Pages

Post by Thrain II » Tue May 11, 2004 9:31 pm

In my opinion, there is no better Trading Page than Chris' Site. Sure, there are some other pages but their main problem is a lack of traders who use them.

I checked the Trading Center of Admiral Mahasamatman of the GAB Ebony Team and I personally do not like that page. I would become crasy to list my more than 10.000 non-rares I have for trade...

The only advantage of that page is to update the list of Trades oneself and to work out cross trades involving other CCG's. Maybe I would use the page if I would collect other CCG's as well? I do not know.

However: Good trading!

Hi

I think it's just linked to the taste.

And yes, I have more than one game, so, it's more simple for cross trading to have all of them on the same site ;-)

I think I would possibly use the Mahasamatman Page if I would collect more than one CCG. However, I do not like the system only to list english cards. That is not that useful if you are after spanish or japanese cards. Since I manage my list of Trades and Sales myself and Chris only linked the page with his site, that's the best way for me to update my Trades/Sales as often as I wish.

Chris' page is the best without doubt ... but i think any page could be helpful for trading if you know new traders

Yes, I think Marco is right: Although Chris Cable's Page is the best trading page around, it is always useful to look for additional trading opportunities. If you are looking for a normal cheap card like Assassin or something like that it is the best to use Chris' Card Search Engine and write to a trader who has the card...

But if you want to find the spanish specials or a galician / bask Wolf-Riders you have to take another path. You have to find those traders who only trade within their own country, in example traders from Spain. That's not easy, especially if you do not speak their language but it is also a lot of fun! :D

hi timo!
thanks to speak of my humble community. I have created the forum 2 years ago and never thought that there would be so many players in Spain.
Still we can not participate in the Lure of MECCG but we are trying to make matches at local level to foment the game.
