bit harsh then to vote no now that it's just been accepted, isn't it?

A voting period of two weeks is a bit short imho, though I agree I've been absent from this forum quite a bit longer....
just adding to the discussion then: isn't it a bit weird that a character with Last Child can get attacked over and over again by Shelob and then have her as an ally at his side after the attack? that's what's going to happen since the company can't leave minas morgul area because of the ally, and Shelob can attack only there. If you are a clever opponent, you cycle Shelob as fast as you can.
I mean, the general idea is that when you enlist an ally it is favourable to you. To have an ally attack a company/controlling character there are cards for that [stay her appetite, designed to represent shelob's urges in fact].
So in order to accept this UEP I'd say it needs a "any strike by manifestation of Shelob against it's controlling character is cancelled" clause. you could extend it to the whole company, but I agree that Shelob is a difficult ally to control so it might turn on others....
then there is another problem. What if YOU play Shelob as a perm. just to be able to move outside of the region, and diss it when you're ready to return to the Morgul Vale? is that a fair trick?
