Did you get stuck so you couldnt move? That happened to me once with that deck.

Incidentally does the GCCG touney have a fix for that and the other hero deck that accidentally has the Arkenstone in teh sideboard?

No, but Wim rolled at an average of 9 and I got (i think) 3 rolls above 6...he had two slayers on his starting hand, which resulted in the loss of Fatty and Adrazar on the first turn...Glorfindel and two of my backup-chars got corrupted...any more questions? :-)

I think he was referring to the match with the Indur deck. That one can easily get you stuck at Isengard if you don't pay close attention.

But equally few beneath it; your characters survived many cc's before some were finally overcome by corruption.

Actually, I think Saruman's challenge deck isn't so bad. For one thing, I think I could have been hit a LOT harder with those hazards. I'll be sure to investigate the possibilities next round. :D

Oops.
Should check my facts next time. Funny how I remembered it as Saruman having been stuck at Isengard! Perhaps they stopped to have a chat with him...
In any case that should be fixed IMHO by adding another site card. (we added a site card from my collection - can't remember which one but it was probably a haven)

Hmm.. I think the challenge decks just are what they are. Yes, there are weaknesses but this is how they were printed. They are not equal, nor will some such changes make them equal, so for tournaments a good rotation scheme is needed and best anyway. (And I think the switching of deck after each match is the fairest such system around.)

You can use them as the basis for your decks and make any changes you like, but to label a changed deck challenge deck again in some events / venues would IMHO just be confusing.

Played vs Romago with Dwar vs Khamul Challenge Decks.
It was a strange game as we had similar decks and competed for characters, items, factions and had similar miscellaneous MP resources.
It was good fun, but eventually we called it a draw as the game was taking so long.

I had to play Ren vs Dwar... I find the hazard of Ren simple inadequate... even without some setup, it mostly strikes versus borderholds. If you have a company like Dwar moving in ruins and lairs/wildernesses, only the occasinal Fire-drake can hit them.

The free peoples seem ok, although the characters miss some real strength... My ass was handed extremely by several waked wolves. Also, the percentage of item points is too high compared to others, and the Woodmen-town should be in.
Player of killer hazards no-one else ever dares to play :D
