Initial notes:

My first game against Manuel was actually going better than I expected.  I had Strident Spawn in play and was ready to start raking in the Orcs and store the Vein of Arda, letting me return to the Deep Mines for 2 x Gems of Arda.

Manuel plays Call of Home, and I think "I've got 5 free GI, no problem."

Snake Eyes.

Lost Celeborn, couldn't replay him, and lost my Vein of Arda so couldn't even get the gems.

Resigned at this point. :)

Second Round was vs. Ringbearer, who was running a "Great Army of the Northeast" style deck with Grimburgoth and Hoarmurath handling the cancelling.

I used Witch-King to prevent his Great Army points on the last turn, which was fun. :)

My deck worked reasonably well, though I got lucky on the corruption rolls at the end.  Got two Iron-Shields, A Gem, and 3 Delver's Harvests at the Deep Mines.  Didn't draw any character points until late, and couldn't play my ally.

Ringbearer won, of course.  The final result was, adjusted, 29-22.  Not bad for Fallen Saruman. :)  I leave the tournament with a rousing 2 TPs.

Got lucky....

- Saruman tapped killing 2 corsairs
- surviving cc of average 4, around 5 or 6
- 2 Call from Home at +5 and one at +6

And he made them all... not even a single roll under 5.
Player of killer hazards no-one else ever dares to play :D
