When I tap a card, I always rotate it 45°.
Does a common rule exist about angle of tapping ?
Hrum, Hoom ! Do not be hasty, that is my motto.

I've never seen any other tapping method than rotating 90°
OK, and I heard one story of a weird guy who always put counters on his cards to indicate "tapped" status.

As long as it's clear which of your cards are tapped and which are not, you can use any angle you like. I've seen both 90 degrees and 45 degrees, though 90 is more common.

I think officaly it's 90 degrees as stated on some cards ie tap 90 degrees, invert 180, etc.
But as long as it's clearly marked I dont' think people will mind
