Haven't seen anything on this really, but always interested in dunk decks. You seem to be the man for designing decks, so here would be my humble request:

Minion One Ring

(don't have any cards irl, so only got into the darker side of things in GCCG, pulled this off once with an overt comp, though covert with Durin's Ring might make more sense?)

Hi Dam, here's my minion ring deck. I've played it twice I think. The first, I dunked against Takao, my first ever minion duck success. The second, my entire party got wiped by Elf Lords and I lost miserably. :)

Fairly simple idea: use your starting possé of dwarves to go and salvage rings and hope and pray you either get a Dwarven Ring or even better the One-ring. It's not just a ring deck, however, and it does allow some scope for doing other things should all go pair-shaped as it often does with moving minion dwarves.

I haven't played it in ages and it could probably do with some major improvements/suggestions.

:)

Other options include Calendal w/Palantir of Annuminas to recycle ring tests.

Uvatha can also be useful in recycling various events.

I've got a minion Troll Deck that can be fairly easily modified to fit a One Ring strategy; all you need to do is far sight at Dunharrow to get the Scroll into your hand, drop to the Pukel Deeps to play the Scroll, gather the rings and cave trolls as you move to the Under-Grottos, test there, hope you get the one ring, then Under-Deeps your way to Barad Dur. Avoid all those nasty Elf-Lords that way. And, come to think of it, if you fail to get the one, simply pop up at Goblin-Gate and play the Misty Mountain Goblin Faction, and you won't be doing too poorly in the MP department. More thoughts and perhaps a deck list later.

I do requests: just $50/tune ;)

<feels like a jukebox>

I'll get around to it sometime. As you may have noticed in the 'taxonomy', there are currently over 40 decks that need lists posted, and I've got my hands pretty full atm already....

On that note, I've been astonished by the number of decks you've put up recently . . . my congratulations and gratitude, in full measure.

Jambo, some thoughts:

1) Hadn't thought of using Hoarmurath. Extra card in hand + his über-canceller Unleashed would be helpful. Though, even on GCCG getting three copies is task equal to dunking :lol: .

2) Uvatha offers the recycling ability, plus you can get the extra card with While the Yellow Face Sleeps.

Brandobaras Took:

Ran One Ring as overt minion, started with Lieut of DG, Ugluk, Radbug and Tros if memory serves. Hit the Dragon-lairs for Scroll and looted the border-holds in NE for rings. Mainly 'cos at the time didn't "own" the necessary UD sites. On hazards, focused on keeping DoN in play and using Morgul Night to make travel safer :D .

What about grabbing the 'Rog if you're passing by Under-gates? That way, no Durin's Bane on the way to Under-Courts.
