[Minion vs Hero] The Three Stooges

Post by Zarathustra » Sat Nov 13, 2004 8:08 pm

I made this deck after being annoyed by heroes who played Pallando and Cirdan at the Grey Havens, giving them a hand size of 10 and 5 points (3 from the Elf-Lord, 2 from his faction). I decided that the minions should be able to have a huge hand size as well, and so this monstrosity popped out of my brain. It's not the highest-scoring deck, but it's difficult to hurt, pretty fast, and allows huge hazard combos with its ridiculous hand size (hand size is 12, as you shall see).

Lt of Dol Guldur with Strange Rations
Lt of Morgul with Whip
Tros Hesnef

The lieuys start at their respective home sites, and Tros hangs with Morgul under the influence of the whip. Poor Tros....

Characters in Deck

Lt of Angmar
Ulkaur the Tongueless
Euog (Ulzog)

3 The Lidless Eye
3 Orders from Lugburz
3 Voices of Malice
2 Orc-Quarrels
3 Threats
3 Weigh All Things to a Nicety
Great Army of the North
3 Dark Tryst

Orcs of Dol Guldur

3 Cave-Troll
Last Child of Ungoliant

Key Sideboard Cards:

3 Long Grievous Siege
2-3 Tribute Garnered
Sudden Call
We Have Come to Kill
Orcs of Gundabad
Orcs of Mirkwood
Orcs of Angmar
2 The Dark Power

Basically, the idea is that the lieuys hang out at their home sites giving you a huge hand, grabbing little leaders to sit under their DI, and threatening factions. When you have a couple of items/trolls, go down to the Iron-Deeps and/or Sulfer-Deeps, use an Orc-quarrels to get in, and unload your hand. Tros's only purpose is to be sacrificed to Shelob at her Lair in order to allow the Lt of Morgul to play the Last Child of Ungoliant. After exhausting, you will usually have only about 30 cards left in the deck, most of them hazards. Enjoy ;).
