There
Transportation
Turku
has an airport,
and bus
connections from there to the hostel and from the hostel
to the event location are very good. Both the hostel
and the event location are in or very near the center
of Turku. People coming from Sweden might consider taking
a Silja
Line or Viking
Line ship from Stockholm to Turku.
Location
The event will be held in a conference room called
Turku-sali
(street address Rehtoripellonkatu 4) at the University
of Turku.
The cost for attending is 15
euro.
Accommodation
We have initially booked some rooms from a local
youth hostel for 11th-15th of August. Almost all
rooms are four bed rooms, and at request we might be
able to offer a two bed room, but please don't ask for
it unless you really need the privacy. The prices are
18 EUR per person for a four bed room, and 23 EUR per
person for a two bed room per night. That price includes
a buffet-type breakfast which is served 6.00 am –
10.00 am.
Please note that bed linen cost an extra 4,70 EUR,
so you might consider bringing your own (or a bottom
sheet and a sleeping bag). People wishing to stay at
this hostel should inform me about it, also let me know
if you have some preference who you would share your
room with. I need to confirm the rooms by the end of
May, so please hurry. In order to confirm a place for
you at the hostel, I will also need to receive payment
from you by that time.
Naturally there are also other
hotels and hostels in Turku.
Payment
I can receive payments by bank transfer, Western Union
Money Transfer and Paypal.
If you are using bank transfer from outside the European
Union, please pay costs for both parties (you and me)
and send payment in Euros. If you are using Western
Union Money Transfer, please E-mail the control number
to me or send it as SMS. People sending money via Paypal,
please add one Euro to the total. Here is all the information
